The objectives of this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) for general industry and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(i) for construction.

I'm an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and Senior UXO Supervisor. It works for your UXO requirement! - Steve Cassidy, Managing Partner, SGC Group, LLC.

This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA and State OSHA regulations.

Per 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(i)

General site workers (such as equipment operators, general laborers and supervisory personnel) engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities which expose or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances and health hazards shall receive a minimum of 40 hours of instruction off the site, and a minimum of three days actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained experienced supervisor.

The video clips demonstrate HAZWOPER equipment in great detail and students have the advantage to review the videos over and over as needed during their course.

"The course was very good. I like the way the quizzes were set up and exams came directly from what was taught." - Brian Dugie, Private Security Consultant, VA

Most users select the online option for their 40 Hour HAZWOPER training, simply because they still find a need for on-site specific equipment training, even after attending a classroom session. This is because the equipment we use and instruct on in our classroom training may not be the exact equipment that the user will be using as part of their job.

It should be noted, however, that the online version does not allow students the practical experience and ability to handle the tools and equipment that are available to the HAZWOPER worker.

Students that should take this course entirely online are those workers that, while requiring an OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification, will not realistically use any of this equipment on any worksite, or those workers who will use this equipment, but are given follow up instruction with on-site specific equipment training that is conducted by the employer.

It should also be noted that a worker who has taken the OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training entirely online may warrant more training if, in the future, they are required to use specialized equipment.

Taking the training online and having training on-site by the employer is really the best option as it provides the best of both situations.

We also offer the OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Combo course that includes hands-on training as an option.

Simply put, you can't learn to ride a bike at a conference and you shouldn't rely on any training that takes place exclusively in a classroom.

Get the 40 Hour HAZWOPER training and then become a student of your chosen profession. Learn and get your hands on all of the tools you can. You'll be in a better position years from now and be more employable than those that do the bare minimum.
